TRUE Hockey starts off their R-Series a bit nostalgic with the R-Series Retro shoulder pads. Offering a traditional fit, polyethylene foam padding, light weight, and premium comfort, the R-Series Retro shoulder pads are perfect for any recreational player, and are available at an affordable price.

Shoulder Caps & Protection

The shoulders are outfitted with plastic inserts covered front to back in polyethylene foam, which is a common foam choice for many shoulder pad manufacturers. The combination offers great protection while keeping you comfortable.

Sternum and Spine Protection

These pads use polyethylene foam over the torso in a lateral ribbed pattern, with plastic inserts placed in key areas. The protective layer will shield your sternum and spine against injury and traumatic hits from skirmishes and battles on the ice. The laces on the front and back of the pads can be used for additional fitting and contour around your torso, and more modern velcro straps can be found on the sides for convenience.

Bicep Protection

The bicep area is supplied with four polyethylene foam pads that fit snuggly around the bicep for your comfort and safety. The larger centre piece is also outfitted with a plastic insert for added protection. The strap and velcro wrap around your arm, securing the shoulder pads in place.

Liner

The R-Series Retro shoulder pads are lined with polyester, which provides good cooling and has great moisture wicking properties.

Abdominal Protection Piece

At this time, the R-Series Retro shoulder pads do come with an abdominal protection piece.
