In October 2015, musician Emma Ahlberg Ek visited the museum archives in Härnösand, Sweden. The purpose of her visit was to discover more about musician Hillevi Öberg (1897 - 1979). Among other things, Öberg made her living as a fiddler and cinema musician. There were very few mentions of Öberg, although she was mentioned by folk music collector K. P. Leffler. After extending her search, Emma Ahlberg Ek managed to track down Öberg's son, Rolf Brodin, who told her about his mother's life story through his own memories. On this album Emma Ahlberg Ek explores and revives Hillevi Öberg's forgotten legacy.
